Hey All,
I hope your week has been a productive and successful one as we get close to finishing off the first month of the year already! It feels like these first few weeks have flown by.
I’ve been working a ton in the background and am excited to share a bunch on new videos, software, products and more with you in the coming months.
This week I want to share some of the quickest and easiest ways to instantly up your AutoCAD game and productivity in the new year.

Quick Tip:
If you find yourself drawing/creating the same objects more than a few times in your drawings, it’s time to start making them into BLOCKS.
Use the BLOCK (B) Command to get started, simply select the objects you want to create a block out of, choose your base point (the point where the block will be inserted at), typically the center of the object, and give it a name.
You’ll now be able to quickly replecate and reuse this block throughout your drawing as well as easily import it into other new drawings in the future (We’re going to cover this step in todays video a little later as well!)

This week we are taking a look at the hidden talents of a must learn tool in AutoCAD, the Design Center.
Over the years I’ve noticed that a vast majority of designers completely overlook DesignCenter, but it can really be a game-changer for reusing blocks, layers, and layouts with just a few clicks. Especially for newer or independant users (those of us consulting without a large team or catalog of templates/standards) where it makes sense to re-use previous styles, standards and layouts from another project we’ve completed.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, this tool will instantly boost your productivity.
